The Liberty Theater, in the heart of Astoria, was designed to transport you to a Venetian Palace and is one of Oregon's best examples of a 1920s vaudeville-motion picture palace. Opened in 1925, the theater was originally home to vaudeville acts and silent movies. Recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Liberty Theater recently underwent $8 million renovation. Operating today as a Performing Arts Center, Concert Hall, Conference Center, Town Hall Meeting venue and an elegant site for Weddings.
