Profile Theatre, a professional company founded in 1997, celebrates its sixteenth season in 2012-13 with the works of South African playwright Athol Fugard.. Over the past fifteen years, Profile has brought the works of such prestigious playwrights to its Portland stage as Romulus Linney, Lanford Wilson, John Guare, Wendy Wassterstein, Edward Albee, Neil Simon, Harold Pinter, Terrence McNally and Lee Blessing.
Many have personally joined Profile to participate in rehearsals of their plays, to present new scripts, and to share personal insights with audiences in talk-backs and special events, enriching the Portland theatre experience.
* New location in June, we will move our business office from our current location at the Theater! Theatre! Building in SE Portland, to offices on the east side of the Artists Repertory Theatre campus in SW downtown. Opening Night of our 2014 season is scheduled for January 18. Featured artist Sam Shepard!
