BUSES: TriMet buses serve the Portland metro area, and many bus lines connect with MAX Light Rail, WES Commuter Rail and the Portland Streetcar. Hours of operation vary. During the weekday morning and afternoon rush hour, "Frequent Service" buses run about every 15 minutes.
MAX Light Rail: TriMet's MAX (Metropolitan Area Express) Light Rail connects downtown Portland with Beaverton, Clackamas, Gresham, Hillsboro, North/Northeast Portland and the Portland International Airport. Trains runs every 15 minutes or better most of the day, every day.
WES Commuter Rail: TriMet's WES (short for Westside Express Service) is a commuter rail line serving Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin and Wilsonville. WES runs every 30 minutes during the weekday morning and afternoon rush hour.
PORTLAND STREETCAR: The Portland Streetcar connects NW Portland, the Pearl District, Portland City Center, PSU, RiverPlace and the South Waterfront District. Hours of operation vary, but streetcars run about every 13 minutes during the day (less frequently in the evening).
